dcl - the fastest way to move business between nations
With the inception of the Dedicated Commuter Lane (DCL), El Paso has pioneered the way commuters travel to and from México. Thirty thousand people enjoy the benefits of the DCL. It enables motorists to commute across the border into the United States in minutes.
- Highly Efficient — Maximum wait times range from three to 15 minutes during rush-hour traffic. The system allows for more traffic to cross through the DCL in one hour than all other lanes combined.
- Low Risk — Acceptance for a DCL permit requires the applicant to go through a pre-selection process, in which a thorough background check is required*. This ensures that only qualified applicants utilize the DCL, and keeps wait times to a minimum.
For more information on enrollment in this program, call 915-872-3472 .
A DCL application can be found at the following link Sentri.
*A few requirements and application fees are required.
Highway systems
The region enjoys an unparalled geographical position that provides direct access to the North American market, one of the largest in the world. Juarez offers a solid infrastructure with remarkable quality at a competitive cost and thorough reliability. Highway I-25, I-10 and the Panamerican Highway connect all roads in the U.S. and Mexico.
rail systems
Ferromex is Mexico's largest and most important railroad with widest coverage (597 locomotives and over 14,000 rail cars). Ferrocarril Mexicano (Ferromex) has a network of 5,039 miles (8,111 KMs) of tracks that covers approximately 71% of the Mexican territory. Ferromex lines connect to five points on the border with the United States, four seaports on the Pacific Coast and two more on the Gulf of Mexico. Ferromex has developed strategic partnerships with U.S. rail companies: Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe, which has created an efficient and seamless global service.
