El Paso employs over 11,500 workers in more than 26 white collar operations such as contact centers, technical support operations, and back office. Companies that are already successfully operating such operations in El Paso include:
- Alltel
- AT&T
- Automatic Data Processing , Inc
- Cingular
- EDS
- Merck
- State Farm
These companies draw from a large pool of bi-lingual workers, many of whom possess business degrees from colleges and universities in the region. There are more than 9,000 recent graduates in the workforce, primarily from the University of Texas at El Paso, El Paso Community College, and New Mexico State University.
