Educational Attainment

The Collaborative for Academic Excellence is a combined effort on behalf of many community stakeholders to systematically reform and reinforce all levels of education from kindergarten to a bachelor's degree.

Indicators of success for this program in El Paso are as follows:

  • From 1995 to 2006, high school graduation rates in El Paso increased from 69% to 76.6%.
  • Far greater percentage of El Paso students took the recommended high-school program or higher as compared to students across Texas. El Paso ranked higher than Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.
