REDCo works with many local partners in an effort to ensure that El Paso meets the needs of your business venture. As you assess our community for potential jobs and investment, our professional staff can introduce you to any/all of the following partners:

  • City of El Paso - Our Mayor, City Council, and City Manager are actively interested in recruiting business and industry to the community. We work closely with them to expedite permits, craft financial incentives and address other issues to get you into business as quickly and cost effectively as possible.
  • Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce -With over 1,000 private sector investors, GEPCC is the primary advocate for business in El Paso. The chamber directly supports REDCo's industry recruitment efforts by providing private sector leadership in the areas of workforce development, transportation infrastructure, and pro-business public policy. El Paso Job Register is one of the many services the chamber provides to the community, with specific focus on the Military Spouse Program at Fort Bliss. • State of Texas - REDCo works closely with the Governor's Office of Economic Development and Tourism to evaluate your project's potential for a range of financial incentive programs to include the Texas Enterprise Fund, Emerging Technology Fund, sales tax rebates from the state enterprise zone program and more.
  • Upper Rio Grande at Work - In partnership with REDCo, Upper Rio Grande at Work provides worker training assistance, initial employer screenings and other workforce-related services. Upper Rio Grande at Work is a non-profit organization funded by the Texas Workforce Commission and the Department of Labor. The Upper Rio Grande at Work System oversees and provides local workforce development services to employers and job seekers in El Paso and the five other West Texas counties.
  • University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) - The University and REDCo frequently partner to make sure your company's needs for professional employees in business, engineering and other disciplines are addressed. • El Paso Community College - Through our relationship with the College's Advanced Technology Center we can provide skilled workers through a variety of existing programs in advanced manufacturing, or we can create a program that is specific to your needs.
  • El Paso Empowerment Zone - This economic development initiative is designed to revitalize distressed areas within the community by using public funds and tax incentives to entice private investment and to encourage businesses and organizations in their efforts to serve the community. In January 1999, the City of El Paso received the federal ten-year designation as a Round II Urban Empowerment Zone. The designation resulted from the development and submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) of the El Paso Empowerment Zone Strategic Plan. Companies that locate within the zone and/or who hire zone residents may qualify for special financial incentives.
  • Small Business Development Center - The largest management and technical assistance program for small businesses in the United States has a field office in El Paso. Enacted by the U.S. Congress in 1980, the program is administered by the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and is supported by Congressional Appropriations. The program is operated by state governments and hosted by universities and colleges under cooperative agreement. The purpose of the program is to enhance the development of small business enterprises through counseling, technical assistance and training services.
  • El Paso Convention & Visitors Bureau - The CVB supports REDCo's economic development efforts by attracting individuals, families and groups to visit El Paso for business or pleasure, while providing consistently superior visitor services and delivering a pleasurable and memorable experience.  The CVB team is committed to the continued development of the city's quality of life for area residents.  The CVB staff works hand-in-hand with REDCo to develop cultural tours for clients, media contacts, and consultants. For more information about local and regional events, please visit www.eventselpaso.com.
